Perhaps this is addressed in another post. Your "umbrella tango"post made reference to the longing that arose through the tango connection. When one achieves that ephemeral connection, the sense of bliss, the merging of heightened consciousness with feelings of romantic love...how does one separate these sensations from the other as the source? In other words...in three to nine minutes, tango can create love between two partners. At least for women, it is said that the brain is likely releasing the same chemicals as when they are "in love." This connection, this feeling, is the reason many dance tango. It is one of the reasons it turns addictive.

So how do we separate the feelings from the dance? How do we connect without attaching? How do we separate the experience from the object? How do we separate romantic love from universal LOVE?

Or is that we don't? We rise and fall and just observe? Let it be grist for the mill? Let the heart ache and long and be open for desire? Let ourselves be human...

There are people who say "it is just a dance, it is a contact sport," but I believe they are not opening themselves up to truly connecting in the dance. If one has an open heart in tango one also opens themselves up to vulnerabilities of the heart. For those who truly open their hearts in connection during tango, I want to know, how do you do it?
